A Proven Track Record

Mr. Massillamany began his legal career with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s office where he coordinated and led the Arson Task Force and helped start the Excise/Drug Task Force. After gaining valuable experience with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Massillamany moved to the Marion County’s Prosecutor’s office where he accumulated an astounding conviction rate in excess of 95 percent. Mr. Massillamany also served as General Counsel and Communications Director for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

After achieving a high level of success prosecuting criminals in our community, Mr. Massillamany pivoted his legal career to become an Associate Attorney at Starr Austen & Miller LLP, handling complex civil litigation. Mr. Massillamany then transitioned to Barnes & Thornburg LLP as an attorney and during his tenure there he represented clients in front of local, state, and federal government agencies. Just prior to founding Massillamany Jeter & Carson LLP in 2015, Mr. Massillamany served as general counsel to an Indiana company specializing in the collection of delinquent loans for health care, student loan debt, and other financial services. During his time with this company it was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in 2014.

Committed to the Community

Mr. Massillamany is committed to the community he lives in and upholds his commitment by volunteering and fundraising for a variety of local and charitable organizations. Mr. Massillamany is deeply involved with Third Phase, a domestic violence shelter in Hamilton County. He is also a faithful parishioner and active volunteer at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, a zealous member of the Fishers’ Rotary club, and served on the board of directors for Chaucie’s Place – a center dedicated to helping children who are victims of sexual abuse. Mr. Massillamany’s passion for politics is well known and he has successfully managed numerous political campaigns at all levels of government.

Education

Mr. Massillamany earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver College of Law; while there he was active in campus affairs, including President of the Student Bar Associations, member of the Review Board for Honor Code Violations, and a member of the Transportation Law Review. He was a finalist in the National Dispute Resolution and Mediation Competition. Mr. Massillamany obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wabash College. During his time at Wabash College he was an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, the elected campus treasurer, and was the Student Senate Activities Chairman.

Mr. Massillamany is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in the state of Indiana. Mr. Massillamany’s pride and joy are his two sons, Jackson and Sullivan, and enjoys coaching their soccer teams in his spare time.
