If It Weren’t for the Video, the School District Would Deny It Happened

Michael Hosinski, a 61-year-old Northern Indiana teacher was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of battery, which is a level 6 felony in Indiana. He has been accused of striking a student in the face, authorities say. If convicted, Hosinski could be facing a sentence of 6 months to 2 1/2 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Investigators were asked by the Baugo Community Schools to look into the case on Feb. 25 after Michael Hosinski was caught on camera slapping a student in the face so hard they fell into the hallway.
